Even if they win 100 games, they still lose 62. They are home and playing a poor team, but you have to be a real chalk eater to lay -370 on a baseball game, even at -1.5 runs, it is still -180 !

Don't remember one being this high opening day

Guess you could have gone for the -2.5 runs

Beat team in baseball at home vs the worst team in baseball. The -2.5 was covering the entire game after 4 Yankees went to the plate
Yankees TT o5.5 was my play at -115. Cashner being a #1 starter is laughable

It's always easy after the game is final, but laying 2.5 runs to get it to more normal odds isn't my thing

The bookies got the line just right on this one, total of 9, and the Yanks so heavily favorited that you couldn't really bet them. 7-2 NY, certainly about the expected score, but I'm not about to lay -370 on a baseball game on opening day, that is a late season sort of line ,and probably in the top ten all time for most lopsided lines regarding baseball. I can't think of any game that was higher than that off of top of my big head.

Does anyone have a record of how betting huge favorites like say -250 or more has worked out over time ? I'd bet it would be a huge net loser.

Interesting Tate. All I'll say for sure is I'd never bet a baseball game and take a -370 line , in particular on day 1, the game is not critical requiring a win. I'm not a fan of laying 2.5 runs in a game totalled at 9, which was dead on.

The prop type bets like team totals, first 5 innings are a good way to go unless you're looking to bet thousands, rarely the case for 99 percent of people.

That line just shocked me, Yankees have a solid team but they ain't gonna win 122 games either.

And today's -390 chalk loses 5-3.

You'd have to be insane to bet that kind of line and laying 2.5 runs isn't much better

And they lose yet again 7-5 at somewhere around -300 to the worst team in MLB, when they are supposed to be the best team or at least close to it !

Baseball and chalk goes together about as well as tequila and Pepsi, I had a customer that drank those when I tended bar. Well tequila and whatever kind of cola it was that came out of the gun, yuck !

When I lost those two things, I quit betting on sports, losing Planetpinnacle didn't help matters any either !
